Reason one: Kevin was taught at a very early age, how to stretch hides and make useable materials for drums, rattles and clothing. Over the last ten years, the healing powers of making and playing drums are becoming better known. Kevin has been asked by Schools, Individuals, Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal organizations to supply the materials and teachings for drum making since 1998.
Reason two: Métis Family Services in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada has been ordering 40 to 80 Drum kits per year since 2003, and promoting the sale of these Métis Drum kits to others.
Reason three: The Children’s Foundation in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada hired Kevin to come, and build 30 Native Drums with their Children, adding to a total of three hundred Native drum kits for the year 2006.
